1996. Mirrors, models, glass, wood. 30 x 30 x 30 cm.
"Zofia Lipecka presents her Jardins d'Hesdin, a sort of small aquariums on pedestals in which she installes mirrors that multiply the image of the object placed in their center. Using this method, well-known in the optical sciences, she develops a simple and ingenious reflection that goes from criticism of the glut society (here the objects are figurines of Walt-Disney), to the invention of a new form of intellectual prison. Between the beauty of the staging and this idea of multiplied imagination appears the painful awareness of a reality, boxed and illusory."
